The 2006 Winner of the Lake-Geauga Young Republican "Richard G. Small Scholarship" is Brian Johnson graduating senior enrolling in Bowling Green State Univeristy fall of 2006. Read his winning essay in the coming edition of the Great Communicator.

The Lake Geauga Young Republicans were awared Outstanding Club Newsletter Award by the National Young Republican Federation for 2005. This the second award the newsletter reveide this year. In March the club was awared the same award at the Ohio State YR Convention.

The 2007 Ohio YR Convention was awarded to the Lake & Geauga YR's at the Spring board meeting, in Alliance. The event will be held in April and will bring YR's from across the state to the area.

Ryan Johnson was awarded the John Kasich Award for Outstanding Male YR of the Year at the 2006 State Young Republicans Convention.
"The Great Communicator" Newsletter, Editor, Ryan Johnson was also recognized at the convention. It's publication reaches over 400 influencial republicans throughout Lake and Geauga Counties.
