Lake County Young Republicans

Our meeting this month will be held at Lake County GOP Headquarters, August 24th, at 7pm- and the business portion of the meeting will be very short. The address is 85 North Park Place in Painesville. Remember, 7, not 7:30, and GOP Headquarters, not Olivor Twist. However, one or more of our Executive Board Members or Committee Chairpersons will be there as early as 6pm to get started on the meeting’s main events:

1. Phone Banks- Joe Derkin, who is running the Victory Center in Lake County, will be training people to participate in phone banks. He has also generously offered to buy us pizza! This should take place around 7pm or a little before, so the earlier you can get there, the better.

2. LGYR Service Project- For those who would prefer, we will be needing help to wrap up the LGYR Service Project. This will consist of gathering up the items described below from their drop- off locations, and possibly counting items and/or getting them ready for a delivery to their final destination. Here is a little more information about this project:”

LGYR SERVICE PROJECT-

Our LGYR service project is off to a great start- thank you to everyone who has brought in their school supplies to help the Lake County Veterans give our area’s children what they need to start the school year out right. Below is a list of what is needed, and who to contact for questions. Please try and get these supplies in by Monday, August 16. Remember, every little bit helps!

-12 Count colored pencils

-1 Subject spiral notebook (wide ruled)

-Wide ruled notebook paper

-Pocket folders (plain colors)

-Gluesticks

-Scissors

-Rulers

-Erasers

-Kleenex boxes

-Backpacks (big kid & little kid)

-$50-250 Gift Cards for clothing are also useful (Target, etc.) Please seal

in envelope and give to a contact person at either drop off reception desk
